YouSendIt is a Web-based secure digital file delivery company, which lets users securely send, receive and track files on demand. It is an alternative to sending large e-mail attachments, using FTP, and sending CDs or DVDs or tape or USB flash drive via Sneakernet. The sender can enter the recipients' e-mail addresses, attach the file and send it; the recipients receive an e-mail notification with a URL that lets them download the file. The company operates on a freemium basis, with basic features being offered for free and more advanced features for a fee. YouSendIt has more than 14 million registered and 250,000 paid subscribers from 192 countries/territories. Growing at a rate of about 350,000 users a month. YouSendIt transfers about 20 million files monthly, with about 500 million transfers to date.
Sending a 50 MB file is free; paid accounts can send files up to 2 GB.

YouSendIt is truly a great application for people who want's to have a secure e-mail delivery. For YouSendIt has a unique way of securing your message. That for the safety of the document being sent, they send it with a notification code for which only the recipient can open the URL where they can download the file that were sent to him/her. So i truly recommend it for businessman/businesswoman who like's to have their files secure.

The group gives it a 4.5/5 . Not a perfect one because it's not really "student-available" that requires a fee of $14-16 a month. It really is quite expensive as compared to applications that require payment. Nevertheless, the fee is the reason why the service is good. It serves its purpose well, quality wise.
